My Two Cents:
I can't exactly remember how Eric and I began communicating, I think I was looking for someone willing to share some of their pictures in a workshop presentation.
He responded on twitter and I remember looking at his photography and being very impressed.
Since then I've told people to follow him on twitter and now he has a respectable following of other Utah photographers, which I find quite fun.
