Short Bio - Word from the Photographer

I snapped my first photo with my mother's old manual Canon SLR at the tender young age of 9, and from the moment I saw the resulting print of a tree swallow frozen in flight, I was hooked. I'm a Montana-based photographer who still marvels at the way photos help us to slow down life's hectic ways and view the world in a new and interesting light. I truly delight in meeting and visiting the great variety of people and places this world has to offer us, and am honored to help document it. There's nothing quite as wonderful as being a photographer - it really gives you access to the most incredible people and, for me, makes this life pretty darn fantastic.

Word from the Author

I've particularly enjoyed looking through Kristine's work. She's a wonderful photographer and has a large portfolio with some unique work. I've chosen to highlight her Photojournalism work to mix things up here on the blog, but she does wedding work as well. Enjoy!

Short bio - Word from the photographer

I became a photographer because I didn't want to be bored. All through my youth I planned on becoming a writer, but on the first day at the college newspaper the photo department was my escape route from being stuck writing about the same topic all semester long. Photography offered up the variety I needed. To me, photography is about exploring life, meeting new people, having adventures, and witnessing the highs and lows of humanity. As hard as it can be, I can't imagine doing anything else.

A word from the Author - Jarvie

One of the more sad events of 2009 for me involves Trent.
He was a keynote speaker at PhotoCamp Utah.
I was prepping a presentation for after his and so I sadly was not able to see the presentation, and it makes me sad.
Everyone talked about it and loved it, so I know I missed something special.

This post focuses on his sports photography which he does a lot of. But of course he does so much more working for the paper.

He's a really neat guy, we get along well.
He's also a guy after my own heart having way too many projects and websites... Just Like ME! haha
