Short Bio:
Being a professional photographer was never on my radar, even though I've been taking pictures my whole life. I always say that I was forced into it by the Moms in my daughter's playgroup, and now I can't thank them enough for believing in me more than I believed in myself!! After I shot my first paid session, I called my husband immediately and said, "THIS is what I am SUPPOSED to be doing!" I am forever grateful that I get paid to do what I love and love what I do. I think it shows in my work.
I have an addiction to Starbucks. Seriously, I'm not sure what they put in their chai tea lattes, but if I don't have one every.single.morning, my family doesn't like me very much 
I suppose you can say that I am a bit of a late bloomer since I didn't meet my husband until I was 32, had my first child at 33, became a photographer at 38, and had my second child at 39. And you know what, I wouldn't have it any other way!!!!

Tessa is an amazing photographer and she is getting better every year. I know, I didn’t think it was possible either! We used her multiple times to take our family portraits and have her works on display all around our home. We always get compliments on her photographs.
The best work Tessa has done for me though has to be when she took pre-wedding (groomals) pictures of my brother and his fiancee. They were SO beautiful. There were so much love and emotions coming across those photographs that it took our breaths away.

I absolutely love Tessa’s work!! She has beautifully captured some of the most intimate moments in our lives. I am forever grateful that I will have these images to look back on and experience time and time again.

Love Tessa and her work! I couldn’t imagine having another photographer capture these precious moments in my family’s life. Tessa is amazing!! She has such a great way of working with children AND grown-ups who aren’t always the most cooperative photography subjects. She also does such beautiful editing work after the photos are taken to make them truly special pieces of art. I had one of mine mounted on canvas and it is a stunner!!!

I can’t imagine working with anyone else to capture our milestone moments. Tessa is one in a million, she’s got a natural eye that just brings out the best in her photographs. She really goes all out for her clients, and simply loves what she does and it shows. In our hearts Tessa, you are simply the BEST! Now the whole world knows it too! Congrats!!!

When friends see my sofa session pictures they always ask, “wow! your photographer does great photoshop”. They are always shocked when I tell them we were on the beach on a COUCH! Tessa always brings originality to her shoots and because of this she will always shoot my family. From newborn to toddler and on she will always be my go-to photographer. Plus, once you get a venti chai in her she makes the best sounds, sings great songs and wiggles all around to get the best shot of your loved one. The attention is all there people! Tessa is amazing, see for yourself!

BLISS!
That is what I feel every time I look at the photos Tessa Desharnais has taken over the past three years of my family. Not only is she creative with her props, locations and lighting she knows what shot every parent wants of their child. She GETS it! If you are looking for unique and simply stunning photos you should not think twice about using her. She is super friendly and beyond easy to work with. I follow her Facebook page and each session keeps getting better and better.
If she had been photographing when my children were infants I would have died to have her photograph them. Her newborn sessions are breathtaking!
